Raymond High School boys and girls basketball team grabbed wins over Clinton

Raymond High School boys and girls basketball team collected victories over Clinton on Friday.

In the women’s game, Leah Sutton led things with 27 points in the 71-66 win. Leah Roberts stepped up and scored 16 and teammate Madyson McGill added 14.

On the boy’s side, the Rangers came out with a 52-51 win over the Arrows.

The game remained close as Raymond took a 10-8 lead by the end of the first quarter.

Tremaine Dixon was instrumental in the win by putting 17 points followed by EJ Paymon who scored 14.

Despite Clinton having a two point lead going into the fourth, the Rangers were able to pull off the big win.

Jabarie Robinson scored 10 points as well.

The Rangers will host Terry next Friday with the boys being led by head coach Tony Tadlock and the girls will be led by head coach Candace Roberts.
