Raymond native Tanner Leggett got MSU the win on Saturday

Raymond native Tanner Leggett got the game winning hit for Mississippi State University on Saturday which resulted in a score that sent the Bulldogs to the national championship.

Tanner got the huge RBI as he hit the ball into the left field where teammate Brayland Skinner was able to take in the game winning score in the ninth inning.

Leggett is a graduate of Central Hinds Academy where he lettered all four years in baseball.

Leggett, who went 2 for 4 on the night, will help lead the Bulldogs against Vanderbilt on Monday in the three game series for the national title.
