RBI Baseball wins the Youth USSSA State Championship

Local Vicksburg 8U baseball team RBI Baseball won the Youth USSSA State Championship on Sunday.

RBI Baseball defeated the Greenwood Bandits 4-3 in Brandon, Mississippi where they fought hard throughout the game and eventually came out on top.

The team is well-coached by Jimmy Thurman along with assistant coaches Dusty Keen, Wes Burroughs, and Erick Simmons.

RBI Baseball compiled a 24-11-1 record this season  after going 5-0 on Father’s Day weekend. They are equipped with all local eight year olds Case Simmons, Brooks Caruthers, Karson Lynn, Kaleb Sims, Davis Burroughs, Kellen Crocker, Cooper Alexander, Wyatt Wallace, Camden Towne, Blake Thurman, and Bowen Keen who all put it hard work this season.

The city of Vicksburg is happy to have a hometown team win a championship and these you players deserve all of the attention that will receive for their hard work and dedication.
