Reeves to hold signing ceremony tonight for historic flag bill

Tuesday at 5 p.m., Gov. Tate Reeves will hold a ceremony to sign House Bill 1796, which removes the current Mississippi state flag and creates a commission to design a new one that will be voted on in November.
Delivering brief remarks, Reeves will address all of Mississippi on this momentous occasion about the importance of unity and moving forward together as a state.
He will be joined by legislative officials who were key to the passage of the bill and leaders within the African American community to celebrate and mark this historic occasion.
