Tuesday, June 23, is the Republican runoff election for a representative candidate for the 2nd Congressional District.  Two candidates are on the ballot:  Thomas L. Carey and Brian Flowers.

If you cast a Democratic ballot in the primary election March 10, you cannot crossover and vote in the Republican runoff. If you cast a Republican ballot March 10, or if you did not vote in the primary election, you may vote in the Republican runoff.

To find your polling place, go to the polling place locator on the Mississippi Secretary of State’s website.

The following precautions are being followed to minimize the spread of COVID-19:

  • Voters casting a ballot inside the polling place are required to wear a face covering.  If the voter does not have a face covering, one will be provided.  Any voter is allowed to vote outside the polling place using curbside voting.  No face covering will be required.
  • All voting will be on paper ballots.  We are not using the TSX touch screen computers.
  • Pens will be available for voters to use, sanitized between voters.  Voters may use their own pen with dark blue or black ink.
  • Distancing between voters and with poll managers must be observed. Voter waiting areas will be marked off with 6-foot spacing.
