Residential fire on Monterey Drive

Warren County Fire Fighters responding to a residential structure fire on Monterey Drive on Wednesday night had to cut trees to reach the home.

The call was dispatched at around 10:45pm. Responding fire units from Bovina, Culkin and Northeast Fire Departments encountered trees down on Pebble Beach Drive blocking the roadway and preventing fire apparatus from reaching the house.

Fast action by firefighters allowed Engines 204 and 209 (Culkin) along with 401 (Bovina) to reach the house at 127 Monterey Drive and extinguish a fire that originated in the attic.

There was significant damage to the home but fortunately no injuries
