Restaurant review – Eliz Catering, by Bethany Claire Johnson
Bethany Clair Johnson is a foodie and from time to time will eat at area restaurants. Today she ate at Eliz Catering, here is her review:
YALL!!! I know I’ve been on a wing kick, but it stops right here. I don’t have any idea what they did to those wings, but they should never stop.
I literally went here for lunch because I saw another place complaining about how, “too many people,” were at Eliz’s, and they were complaining about parking. I absolutely see why Eliz’s was packed like that.

I went in and it was a small, quiet atmosphere. Very cute. Definitely had a woman’s touch to the decoration, but still had a sort of industrial vibe like Vicksburg. It was so inviting.
I sit down and order 10 wings for myself and 10 for my fiancé. I got a salad on the side, he got fries. We both had pink lemonade.
The salad was fresh and delicious, and they didn’t short you on the dressing. The ranch tasted homemade. The fries were steak fry/wedge type fries and they weren’t soggy at all like most wedges are. We gave my 6-month-old two of the fries, and he gave them a 10/10 review.
But these wings y’all, these wings. I’m not a religious person, but that was the closest I’ve ever been to Jesus. We got 4 different flavors which were garlic Parmesan, honey hot, kicking bourbon, and lemon pepper.

They changed my life. These wings were so crisp and delicious. The sauces had soooo much flavor, but it wasn’t overwhelming. These wings were wet wings(except the lemon pepper), but somehow they stayed crispy and crunchy!! The kickin bourbon tasted like they pulled that wing out of an aged barrel. The hot honey tasted like the bees cooked these wings themselves for the queen. The lemon pepper was so crisp and crunchy you could hear it across the table when you bit into them. The garlic parm melted in your mouth. Somebody from Italy taught them that sauce recipe I’m sure.
These wings y’all. They changed my life. My son said his first word because of these wings. The stock market got better because of these wings. The sun was brighter. My house seemed bigger. My depression was cured.
I’m telling you these were the best wings I’ve ever had. Before we left the restaurant we ordered 20 wings to go 
Y’all have to try this place! It’s between Martinez and dollar general down 61s.
10/10 will cater my wedding
