Porter’s Chapel Academy football player Jace Riggs recently finished a successful junior season as the Eagles starting quarterback.

Riggs led PCA to a 4-6 season this year under head coach Blake Purvis. He led the Eagles in passing, finishing the season with 565 passing yards and seven passing touchdowns.

Riggs’s top target this season was Ra’Darius Turner who caught multiple passes from the effective quarterback.

Although Riggs was good at throwing the ball this season, he also was a skilled runner when he had to rush the ball. He rushed for 347 yards and four touchdowns by the end of the season.

Riggs’ best game this season was during a 52-38 victory over Claiborne Academy. He threw for three touchdowns and rushed for another one in the victory.

With his junior year football season complete, Riggs is playing basketball for PCA under head coach Walter Hallberg IV.
