Riggs scores off a home error to lead PCA past Greenville Christian

Porter’s Chapel Academy took a late lead to defeat Greenville Christian School on Thursday in a 10-9 win.

Zach Ashley helped the Eagles get on the board first as he drew a walk which scored one run.

Chase Hearn pitched a solid game for PCA, striking out seven batters. Ashley also struck out two batters.

Ricky Carraway led PCA with two RBIs, followed by Brayson Morson, Thomas Azlin, Hearn, and Gage Palmer who all had one. Taylor Osborne, John Wyatt Massey, and Gage Palmer all had multiple run scores.

Both teams managed to score plenty during the match and PCA managed to score five runs in the sixth inning which kept the game close.

GCS and PCA found themselves tied up at nine before Jace Riggs stole a base on a home error which led to PCA to taking the win.
