Upcoming junior Zy Smith had a great sophomore season for Porter’s Chapel Academy girl’s basketball team this past year.

Smith averaged 11.2 points per game for the Lady Eagles as PCA advanced to the second round of the playoffs under Head Coach Casey Fisher.

Smith really showed off her talent on offense, often leading the team in scoring. She scored 24 points against Greenville St. Joe in a 46-41 win midway into the season.

Besides having a great long range jumper, Smith had impressive defensive skills where she grabbed three steals each match and continued to remain as a threat for anyone she went up against. She was also named as a first team all-district player.

Smith is now preparing for her junior season where she is expected to once again lead the Lady Eagles to greatness.
