Risk of severe weather remains as storm system moves through area
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook as storms move into our area.
The threat of severe thunderstorms is at an moderate level, with an elevated threat of winds.
Tornadoes remain possible throughout tonight with likely severe thunderstorms. Wind gusts up to 70 miles-per-hour are possible with a chance of large hail.
Flash flooding is at an elevated risk as well. Between two and five inches of rainfall is expected, which may cause some roads to flood and close.
Trees and power lines are at risk of being damaged and creating an elevated risk for drivers. Motorists should be cautious of possible downed trees and power lines. Stay tuned to your local weather authority for the most up-to-date information.
