After working in many restaurants and preparing food on college campuses, Robert Cole now successfully runs his own catering business that he has worked very hard to build.

Born and raised in Vicksburg, Cole began to cook at the age of seven at his grandmother’s house where he first learned the basic skills of the oven and other forms of cooking. No description available.

As Cole grew into his teenage years, he attended both Warren Central and Vicksburg High School and eventually graduated from VHS in 2010. He continued to learn more about cooking during that time before heading off to Mississippi University for Women.

By 2016, Cole had started Personality Catering and Personal Chef Services in  Columbus, Mississippi, where he began doing what he does best. Just a year later he moved off to Houston in 2017 where he only catered part time due to him having another full time job.

2018 was a much more profitable year for Cole and Personality Catering. Earlier that year, he went inside a Houston barbershop and shared some of his Valentine’s Day treats,  chocolate-covered strawberries, with customers.

“After visiting the barbershop, business really started to pickup and people began to order things like lobster, dinner plates, soul food,” Cole said.

Cole quickly began serving his favorite types of dishes which are southern classic foods, seafood, and classic French dishes.

By the time COVID-19 hit, Cole lost his full-time job and began catering full time. With the great help of loyal customers, he travels all over the state for different catering events.

Cole is content on continuing to grow his business where he now offers special services including  meal prep, wedding catering  and many more services his customers may desire. He has been very grateful for those who have contributed and supported him during this journey.

“I would like to thank God who is the head of my life,” Cole said. “I would also like to send a special thanks out to my mom, Pastor Troy Truly, Horace Allen Sr, and all of my family and friends who have supported me.”

If anyone would like to order food from Cole’s Personality Catering and Personal Chef Services, you can email personalitycatering@gmail.com or visit J’s Facebook page.
