Rose Mary Shaw Jones, 1952-2022

Rose Mary Jones Shaw was born January 28, 1952 to the late Willie Shaw Sr. and Susie Green Shaw Ross.  She attended school at Hinds Junior College where she received her AA degree in Childcare.  She worked for Mississippi Action for Progress for 21 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and the 1st woman to join the 547 Bad Boys Riding club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Willie Shaw, Jr., Douglas Shaw, Thelma Shaw and Edward Shaw.

Mrs. Jones is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Shaw Atlas of Port Gibson, MS; a son-in-law, Tonnie Atlas of Port Gibson, MS; 2 brothers, Andean Shaw of Smithdale, MS and Donald Ray Ross of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Christine Fells of Port Gibson, MS, Lessie Mable of Gary, In and Angela Ross of Lubbock, Tx; three grandchildren, Antionette Smith and Diamond Smith, both of Waterloo, Iowa and Dajour Smith of Des Moines, Iowa; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
