Former Canton city engineer and Vicksburg native, Rudy Warnock, currently facing federal bribery charges, has filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
Now residing in Alabama, Warnock is charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit bribery, one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and one count of wire fraud related to his tenure in Canton. The bankruptcy petition reveals Warnock’s net worth to be approximately $434,000, with liabilities nearing $1.4 million.
Significant debts include a $429,772 COVID-19 disaster loan from the Small Business Administration, a $203,879 loan from Renasant Bank for lawsuit expenses, a $29,020 loan from Eastern Bank linked to an airplane, and $47,000 in credit card expenses. In his Chapter 13 plan, Warnock suggests repaying $35,800 of the total debt.
