Vicksburg native Ryan Williams has been crowned as the Y101 Sodfather of the Year.
Williams was nominated by his wife Chelsey in a dad competition to win a E-go battery powered lawn mower just in time for Father’s Day.
Williams is a Warren Central High School graduate, a devoted father, husband and volunteer. Countless hours are given by him each week as a volunteer football and baseball coach, teaching young men how to properly play the game. Though he is a full time Fire Specialist at International Paper, he still finds the time to give back to the community.
If anyone deserves to be recognized, it is Williams. It is those such as him who keep our community close by going above and beyond in helping others.
Williams received the most votes in the competition against other the fathers and he will now be rewarded with a great mower. Hopefully this will serve him in making his outside work a bit easier.
Congratulations to Williams and his family. We look forward to seeing more of him as football season approaches.
