Rylan Montgomery downs a beast

Rylan Montgomery took down his first hog Sunday around 5:30 p.m. with one shot using a .243.

Montgomery, 10, was hunting with his grandfather, Mark Larche near the Big Black just north of Bolton.

The 175 pound beast came out about five minutes before dark and the young sportsman made a perfect one shot kill.

“It’s the first hog he’s ever seen,” exclaimed his mom, Christy Larch Montgomery. “My dad said they were screaming …they were so excited.”
