Saban accuses Jackson State of paying a $1 million NIL deal for athlete

On Wednesday night, the University of Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban accused Jackson State University of paying a football player a one million dollar NIL (name, image and likeness) deal.
In the interview, Saban never mentioned which player he was referring to but speculation indicates that it was probably the nation’s top recruit Travis Hunter.

JSU Head Coach Deion Sanders didn’t hesitate to address the rumors on Twitter and announced he will speak on the situation on Thursday.
You best believe I will address that LIE Coach SABAN told tomorrow. I was & awakened by my son @ShedeurSanders that sent me the article stating that WE PAYED @TravisHunterJr a Million to play at @GoJSUTigersFB ! We as a PEOPLE don’t have to pay our PEOPLE to play with our PEOPLE.

Saban seemed to be concerned about JSU players’ NIL deals even though his comments on the athlete were not confirmed. However, it has been confirmed that his quarterback Bryce Young signed more than $800,000 in NIL deals last July.
