Sara Wigley, 1936-2019

Sara Wigley died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, at Merit Health-River Region Medical Center at the age of 83.

Sara was born in Noxapater, Miss., to the late Clarence and Ada Robinson Crabtree. She had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1953 and retired from Office Supply Company after 30 years of service. She was a member of Warrenton Independent Baptist Church and the Acacia Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Wilburn Wigley. She is survived by her children: Glen Wigley of Vicksburg, Sherrel Tarleton (Mark) of Garland, Texas, Kathy Miller (Mike) of Vicksburg, Gloria Brown of Vicksburg, and Brandon Wigley (April) also of Vicksburg; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at Warrenton Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Curtis officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Wigley, Chris Wigley, EJ Wilkerson, Austin Wigley, Cody Wigley, Reed Wilkerson, Chandler Luke, and Joseph Tarleton.
