Scott Road trailer lost to fire
At about 6:30 p.m., a trailer on Scott Road burst into flames after a loud explosion was heard by neighbors.
The trailer at the end of Scott Road was a complete loss in spite of the massive response of Warren County firefighters. NorthEast Fire Chief Zac Hearn was the first on the scene and took command of the event.
Chief Hearn directed several pieces of equipment and about a dozen firefighters in the effort to put out the fire.
Jeff Riggs, spokesman for the Warren County fire service reports, “…that the first units on the scene found a single-wide trailer, fully engulfed in heavy smoke and flames. It was reported to authorities that the trailer was reported to be vacant. The trailer had no utilities to it at the time. Units from Fisher Ferry Culkin, Northeast and Bovina responded to the scene. The incident commander for ground operations was Zach Hearn with Northeast. No injuries were reported at the scene. The fire is under investigation at this time.”
The original call to 911 included a report that the home had exploded prior to the fire. The first units on the scene had neighbors report to them that they had heard a loud explosion and then saw the flames. No one was in the structure when the first units arrived at the scene of the fire.
