After having flu-like symptoms, New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus. He is now recovering.

Payton didn’t realize that he contracted the virus until three days after his initial doctor’s visit. Although he is in the recovery stage, Payton mentioned that he gets fatigued after about 20 minutes doing basic work around his home.

Payton is typically surrounded by healthy athletes, but the virus is very contagious, especially in a football setting where there is close contact with multiple players.

He urges everyone to be smart and listen to the experts when it comes to the seriousness of the disease. He remains in self-quarantine.

The NFL Draft is scheduled to start on April 23, but due to COVID-19 concerns, it will be televised with no audience.
