Thursday evening, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office received a request for assistance from the Mississippi department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks to search for two missing men on the Mississippi River.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace says that his agency deployed a boat to LeTourneau Landing at around 9 p.m. with Investigator Sam Winchester and Deputy Daniel Thomas to assist in the search. The deputies searched for the men throughout the night.

Pace said the two missing men went out in their boat on the Mississippi River mid-afternoon Thursday to scope out potential duck hunting locations near Palmira Island. They were reported missing after not returning. Pace said multiple wildlife agents along with his agency are continuing their search this morning.
