Second-graders at Redwood Elementary enjoy learning by participating in the Frog and Toad Race

Second-graders at Redwood Elementary took part in a Toad and Frog Race on Thursday.

The students were able to enjoy a diverting activity to race their amphibians to the finish line.

“They are learning in the process of having fun,” stated second-grade Redwood Elementary teacher Torri Ghrigsby. “I was a hands-on learner, so I try to expose and give my children lots of opportunities to learn in lots of different ways. Today the children are going to write about this experience.”

After the festivities came to a close, the children released their racers back into the wild.
