A second Mississippi State University football player has entered the transfer portal since head coach Mike Leach shared a Twitter post that many found offensive.

Alabama native Brevyn Jones has now decided to enter the transfer portal shortly after defensive lineman Fabien Lovett left last week. Jones is a freshmen offensive lineman and a three-star recruit from Huffman High School in Birmingham, Ala.

Jones first committed to Tulane University in New Orleans, La., but instead chose MSU in October 2018.

Because Jones has entered the transfer portal, it allows other schools to contact him, but he can also choose to stick with the Bulldogs and return to the field next season.

Leach’s tweet pictured a woman knitting a noose. He issued an apology last week.

Fabian Lovett was the first MSU player to announce he was transferring because of it.
