Third baseman Macey Bufkin stepped up and made some big plays for Porter’s Chapel Academy softball team on Tuesday against Deer Creek.

Although the Lady Eagles trailed most of the game against the Warriors, Bufkin went 2 for 4 at the plate along with two RBIs in the 20-13 loss. She also had one run score on the night.

Bufkin is currently in her senior season and continues to cherish the moments she has left with her teammates.

“It’s a happy and sad feeling because I’m happy for this year and making memories, but I’m sad because I won’t get it back so I have to not take it for granted,” Bufkin said in a interview before the season.

PCA will battle on Saturday in the Tri-County Tournament where they will be aiming for a victory.
