Senior night success:WC crushed Pearl 15-0

Senior was a complete success for Warren Central as they knocked off Pearl 15-0.

“We’re going to miss them,” WC Head Coach Dana McGivney said. Off the field and on the field, they make our program better.”

Zion Harvey got the first hit of the night followed by Jenn Smith who sent one to the left field for a RBI.

WC picked up six runs in the second inning as Abby Morgan started things off with a double. After a walk, Sarah Cameron Fancher would earn a nice hit to bring in two runs. Smith would then get an inside-the-park home run that brought in three runs to push the score to 7-0.

Pearl still wasn’t able to earn a run by the third inning.

Meanwhile, the Lady Vikes would earn eight more runs starting with a hit from Kamryn Morson along with a bunt from Adalyn Anderson. Mary Evelyn Hossley would bring in the next run from a hit and Sancher would follow up with a triple that brought in two runs.

Morgan also got a RBI from a single along with Lola Crozier who sent one to the outfield for two more RBIs as WC went up 15-0.

Morgan struck out nine batters on the night along with going 3 for 3 at the plate. Smith got four RBIs with her two hits while Fancher went 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Anderson and Jill Smith also had a hit while Hossley ended the night with two RBIs.

“We came out and handled business tonight and we cherish every moment with this team,” Crozier and Morgan said. Karel ended the night by saying “T us up!”

All three seniors expressed emotional words before the game as they reflected on their years with the program. They will all be moving on to play college ball next year.
