Several COVID-19 information discussions to take place at various Vicksburg churches on Saturday

Several COVID-19 information discussions will be taking place at various churches throughout the Vicksburg Community Saturday. Contact information can be found on the accompanying flyers.

  • Travis Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church will host an event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free masks and hand sanitizer will be given away at the event. Travis Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church is located at the corner of Washington Street and Kings Crossing.

  • St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church will also be holding an event to help curb the spread of COVID-19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church is located at 2020 Mission 66.

  • Mount Carmel Ministries will be hosting a COVID-19 safety and awareness program at 1 p.m. Guest speakers are Investigator Jerrold Hayes of the Vicksburg Police Department and April Randle, DNP, FNP-BC of Trinity Pediatric Clinic in Jackson. Mount Carmel Ministries is located at 2015 Grove Street.

  • Trinity Temple Baptist Church will host an in-person COVID-19 information session presented by Sister Teleesha Jackson, ADM between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Door prizes, masks and hand sanitizers will be given out. Masks and social distancing are required. Trinity Temple Baptist Church is located at 1063 Meadow Street.
