Expect rain and some thunderstorms today and increasing this evening and overnight.
Confidence is increasing in a more significant severe weather event occurring on Thursday; most likely Thursday afternoon into evening. Severe storms capable of tornadoes, damaging winds, tornadoes, and hail to the size of golf balls are all possible. Some tornadoes may be strong and long track.

The National Weather Service reports that localized flash flooding is likely in our area, beginning Wednesday night through Thursday. Locations across southeast Mississippi will likely see the highest rainfall totals and the best potential for flooding.
