Sheriff Pace announces recent arrests in Warren County
Three individuals were arrested over last weekend by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office for capias warrants and another for possession of methamphetamine.
Felon in possession
On Nov. 4, just after 1 a.m., Deputy Colberson initiated a traffic stop of a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer along Highway 61 North.
The driver, unidentified, was arrested for DUI, first offense. The front seat passenger, Lafane Mixon, was noticed wearing an empty handgun holster with a .45 calibur handgun within reach.
Mixon’s capias warrant was for failure to appear on the charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He now has an additional charge of felon in possession of a handgun.

Identified
On Nov. 6, just after 1 a.m., Deputy Keyes initiated a traffic stop of a 2003 Toyota Camry on Tucker Road.
According to Sheriff Pace, a routine check of the driver’s license indicated the driver, Joseph Matthew Baggett, 30, of Warren County, had an outstanding capias warrant from the circuit court.

Suspicious cyclist
On Nov. 7, just after 1 a.m., Deputy Whitley stopped a bicyclist on Tucker Road.
According to Sheriff Pace, the bicyclist was acting in a suspicious manner.
The Bicyclist, Andrew Hearn, 25, of Warren County, is said to have given false information during the stop, then proceeded to flee.
After a short chase on foot, Hearn was taken into custody. Hean had an outstanding warrant out of Circuit Court for a burglary trial.

Meth bust
On Nov. 7, just after the arrest on Tucker Road was made, an individual was seen walking on Freetown Road near Heather Drive.
According to Sheriff Pace, Benjamin Clark, 50, of Warren County, was questioned by deputies and found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Clark was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
