Sheriff Pace issues a scam alert

We have been advised by Sheriff Martin Pace of a possible scam being conducted in our area.

A black male in a grey Ford Crown Victoria is approaching people in our area attempting to sell laptop computers.

He was seen within the last hour at a convenience store on Washington Street.

He showed multiple computer boxes to the party he approached. These could be filled with something other than a computer.

Anyone coming in contact with this individual is encouraged to call 911.

Sheriff Pace has advised his personnel and the Vicksburg Police Department to be on the look out for this subject.
