Sherwin Dale Pike, 1949-2021

Sherwin Dale Pike passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2021. He was 71 years old.

Sherwin was born Aug. 31, 1949, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Warren C. Pike and Emma Milliken Pike Barrett. Sherwin spent his teen years dazzling many spectators with his cool moves at the local skating rink and even was asked to skate in the big Christmas Parade in Nashville. He served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army in 1968 and 1969. After leaving Lake Charles to work in Vicksburg, Sherwin spent his off times playing games of pool with his friends who loved to compete with him. Sherwin was truly “unique”

The youngest of four, Sherwin leaved behind his brother Paul; sisters Ariel and Mary Lou; and his partner in life, Margaret.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
