Shooting in Clinton leaves woman injured and two men detained

A shooting incident occurred around 6 p.m. Thursday on Sumner Hill Road, east of Thompson Road in Clinton, resulting in a woman being shot in her wrist, WLBT reports.

Soon after the incident, officers from various agencies interacted with potential witnesses and initiated a search for possible suspects. Their efforts led to the apprehension of two men.

While a semi-automatic Glock was found at the crime scene, Clinton Police are yet to confirm if this was the weapon used in the shooting.

The identities of the two men taken into custody have not been released. Investigations are ongoing.
