Shooting of 13-year-old under investigation in Warren County

A 13-year-old was shot in the leg just after midnight Monday on Grey Creek Drive off Freetown Road in Warren County.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office received a call that the shooting victim was on the way to Merit Health River Region by private vehicle. The victim was treated and reportedly released.

Sheriff Martin Pace says the investigation continues as investigators attempt to ascertain if the shooting was accidental or intentional.
