Shooting victim misidentified

Jatavius Devoils was one of two 18-year-olds shot this morning, Sept. 22.

The Vicksburg Daily News has confirmed with the Vicksburg Police Department that one of the two 18-year-olds shot in this morning’s incident on North Frontage Road was misidentified.

The victim shot in the hip is Jatavius Devoils, not Jatavius Jerome Qualls. His photo is above. We will be updating the previous story and photo with these new details.
