Shooting victim airlifted to UMMC

UPDATE:

Vicksburg Police Chief Milton Moore said the shooting occurred at the intersection of Fairground and Pearl streets at around 1:40 p.m. Saturday.

The victim was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. His condition is unknown.

Police have identified and are looking for a shooting suspect.

This incident is still under investigation.

Law enforcement is responding to a shooting victim at Merit Health River Region.

Initial reports indicate that the shooting occurred on Oak Street in Vicksburg.

Both Vicksburg Police officers and Warren County Sheriff’s deputies are responding to a call that came in around 1:38 p.m.

Vicksburg Warren E-911 reported that a shooting victim was on the way to the emergency room suffering from a gun shot wound.
