Shoppers littering parking lots with gloves

An issue flooding social media is people inconsiderately discarding personal protective equipment, especially gloves, in store parking lots.

Not only is this unsanitary and unsightly, littering can get you a $50 fine under state law, and up to a $1,000 fine and 90 days in jail under the Vicksburg municipal code.

Please be considerate of others.

Discard your gloves in proper receptacles at the store, or put them in a bag, take them home and discard them outside your house. Do not just dump gloves on the ground where others have to pick them up.
