Sidney Russell Rowland, Jr., 1945-2021

Sidney Russell Rowland, Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 after a brief illness. He was 76 years old. He was born and raised in Vicksburg, MS and a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NV.

Mr. Rowland was employed with Waterways Experiment Station and Gold Nugget Casino. He also served with the Army National Guard.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sidney Russell, Sr. and Mary Sue Rowlett, stepfather Dr. G.S. Rowlett, brother Timothy Rowland, and nephew Christopher Rowland. He leaves to cherish his memories daughter Stephanie Rowland, son Shane Rowland ( Brandy), two granddaughters, Ashley Marie Rowland and Reese Caroline Rowland, two brothers Donald Rowland, Sr. and Rodger Rowland, and two nephews Donald Rowland, Jr. and Taylor Rowland.

Services will be held at Woodlawn Baptist Church on Saturday, July 24, 2021 with visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
