Silver Alert issued for Jackson woman

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has issued a Silver Alert for Tawanna Salter, 55, of Jackson, Mississippi, in Hinds County.

Salter is a Black female, 5-feet and 11-inches tall, weighing 220 pounds, with black and gray hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen Friday, Dec. 18, at about 1 p.m. in the 200 block of Myer Avenue in Hinds County wearing a black shirt and purple pants.

Salter is believed to be in a gold Cadillac traveling in an unknown direction.

Family members say Salter suffers from a medical condition that may impair her judgement.
