Single-car accident in I-20 near Bovina sends one man to the hospital

A local man is being treated at Merit Health River Region following a single-car accident that occurred between the seven and eight-mile markers on Interstate 20 westbound.

Vicksburg Warren E-911 received a call at around 6:30 a.m. reporting that a vehicle had flipped multiple times coming to rest in the median.

Warren County Sheriff’s Deputy Daniel Thomas was first on scene and reported that the individual had extricated himself and had what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

Vicksburg and Warren County EMS responded to the scene.

The scene has been cleared, and traffic is again moving smoothly through the area.

This accident is under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
