March 16 SKYWARN Training Course canceled

UPDATE:
The SKYWARN Training originally scheduled for today has been canceled. It will be rescheduled for a later date.
Original Story
The Vicksburg Amateur Radio Club and the Warren County Emergency Management Agency will host a SKYWARN Training Course on March 16.
The course will be presented by Science and Operations Officer Chad Entremont and Senior Meteorologist Heather Stanley of the National Weather Service in Jackson. The subject matter will focus on tornado weather experienced in Mississippi.
SKYWARN is a volunteer program with between 350,000 and 400,000 trained severe weather spotters. These volunteers help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service.
The course is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 16, at Goldie’s Trail BBQ, 2430 South Frontage Road. Supper can be ordered from the menu at 5:30 p.m. if attendees wish to eat before the presentation.
There is no charge for the course, but reservations are needed to accommodate the projected attendance. Please call Malcolm Keown at 601-636-0827 to reserve your spot.
