Vicksburg native and Hinds Community College boy’s basketball player Taylon Smith is making a name for himself on the court.
Smith, a Mississippi College transfer, is averaging 11.2 points per game this season Hinds CC. He is mainly known for his ability to hit long shots behind the 3-point line.

Hinds CC has a current 7-4 record with the help of Taylon and his teammates under Head Coach Jonathan Nevol.
Smith graduated from Vicksburg High School and was named the VDN 2021 Boy’s Basketball Player of the Year.
