Smoke detector/fire extinguisher giveaway to begin early due to weather

The smoke detector/fire extinguisher giveaway originally scheduled for 11 a.m. will begin as soon as the area is set up. Weather concerns in the area has hastened the event.

The last giveaway, in December of 2021, saw stock run out in about seven minutes. This time, thanks to the generosity of local businesses, 100 sets are available for those wishing to come out to the event.

Those wanting to take advantage can find the giveaway behind Belk. The units will be given away in a drive-through format. Warren County and Vicksburg police will be helping to direct traffic.
