Vicksburg High School sophomore Destiny Sims led the Gators in points over Callaway High School last night to lead her team to a 54-46 victory.

Sims had a career high of 30 points on the night, and she is quickly progressing as the Gators go-to person on the court. Scoring more than half of the Gators points for the game, Sims showed most of her skills in the second half where she made 22 of her 30 points.

Yakia Burns also stepped up for the Gators as she made 12 points on the night to help secure the victory. The Lady Gators now have a 11-6 record.

The Gators will be back at home to face Ridgeland High School on Friday, Jan. 10, at 6 p.m.
