The Vicksburg Daily News is looking for an enthusiastic freelance writer to cover local people and events in Vicksburg and Warren County.

The ideal candidate will have two to five years of experience writing for publication or on the internet, and have an ear to the ground about who the movers and shakers are in the area, especially small business people and those doing good things in the community.

We’re looking for an individual who is both creative and a self-starter. Familiarity with AP Style is a plus but not required. Our freelancers work from home and set their own schedules.

Pay is dependent on the number of stories you produce.
