St. Aloysius defeats Columbus Christian 15-4


St. Aloysius baseball team picked up a 15-4 win over Columbus Christian on Wednesday.
The Flashes would get eight runs in the first inning as Keller Bradley, Matthew Pitre, John David Liggett, and Clark Hobson got hits early on in the win. Cole Autrey and Conner Gaul would pick up some early RBIs.
A single by Pitre and a double by Hobson in the second would push St. Al’s lead to 11-3.
Gaul would get a double in the third inning while bringing in a run as Autrey also singled on a line drive to put St. Al up 13-4. Gaul also brought in the final two runs after a single in the fourth.
Gaul went 3 for 4 at the plate with four RBIs while Pitre, Hobson, and Liggett all went 2 for 3. Autrey went 1 for 2 with one RBI.
Gaul also pitched in the win where he struck out six batters and only allowed one hit.
