St. Aloysius freshman Carson Smith scored two touchdowns Thursday

St. Aloysius football player Carson Smith scored two touchdowns for the Flashes freshman football team on Thursday.

Smith’s first touchdown came in the first quarter as he caught an interception while playing safety and returned it to the end zone. His second touchdown came when he threw a 44-yard pass to Robert Lee in the second half of the game, helping the Flashes defeat Central Hinds 19-0.

With Smith starring on both offense and defense, the freshman Flashes are now 2-0 and will face Park Place Christian on Thursday and aim expand their winning streak.
