St. Aloysius Junior High football team defeated Park Place 42-28 on Thursday, improving their record to 1-1 on the year.

The Flashes came out running the football hard which ultimately resulted in a 13-yard touchdown run by Pierson Smith. St. Al’s defense would force a three and out on the next drive.

Quarterback Sadler Lambiotte soon hit Evan Mallard on a long pass to get the Flashes inside the 10-yard line. Robert Lee then rushed for a nine-yard touchdown. Lambiotte went 9 for 12 with 127 yards and two touchdowns.

As the defense continued to shut down the Crusaders, Lambiotte hit Walt Andrews on a seven-yard touchdown pass to help the Flashes go up 24-0 at halftime.

The Crusaders came out in the second half and scored on a kickoff return.

The Flashes remained hot in the second half as Carson Gleese got a 60-yard touchdown run and Lambiotte hit Landon Prentiss for a 11-yard touchdown pass.

Defensive Coordinator Derrick Watson and Landon Prentiss

Fred Mixon led the Flashes’ defense by racking up multiple tackles while Lambiotte controlled the secondary along with Dru Gleese and Prentiss. Carson Gleese grabbed seven tackles and Hayden Brogden got two sacks.
