St. Aloysius stomps Park Place 12-3 on Thursday
St. Aloysius softball team defeated Park Place Christian Academy 12-3 on Thursday night.
Park Place went up 1-0 in the first inning after getting a run on a error.
The Lady Flashes had a hard time getting on base in the first two innings but things would turn around in the third.
Crawley Haller got St. Al their first score on a passed ball to tie things at one.
After walks and being hit by pitches, the Lady Flashes found themselves with three people on base as Mikulski, Haller, and Megan Theriot scored on errors to put St. Al ahead 4-1. RBIs by Lili Perniciaro and Christine Wallace would give the Lady Flashes a 6-1 lead by the end of the third.
The third inning ended with Cooper striking out a couple of batters.
Scoring off a wild pitch along with a bunt by Ali Grace Luke helped St. Al go up 8-1 in the fourth. Park Place got one run before the ending was over to put the score at 8-2.
Errors made by Park Place helped St. Al take a 12-2 lead in the top of the fifth.
The Crusaders got one run in the fifth and the Lady Flashes took the 12-3 win.
Cooper went 2 for 3 at the plate while Luke and Wallace each had one hit. Luke also had two RBIs.
Cooper struck out seven in the win and only allowed three runs.
