State of Emergency declared

Lt. Governor Delbert Hoseman, acting on behalf of the Governor, has declared a state of emergency due to the impending winter weather event.

As part of the declaration, it authorizes butane and propane providers to operate within extended hours to service customers. Normally their hours of operation are limited by the State Fire Marshal’s office.

This also opens a window for the state to receive assistance from the federal government for any additional resources or responses related to this winter weather event.
