“I’m proud to announce record tax revenues within the City of Vicksburg for the months of March, April and May of 2021. For our 2% sale stax, March and April collections were the two largest we’ve ever seen at $234,927.18 and $234,512.50

For our overall sales tax, March was the highest collection we’ve seen since 2014 at $795,080.11.

For our gaming tax, April was the largest collection we’ve ever seen at $870,193.40 and May was the second highest collection since 2016 at $641,315.31.

These record-setting collections are a result of Vicksburg residents shopping at home and our thriving post-pandemic tourism industry. I’ve never been more proud of Vicksburg and it’s future.”
