A statement recently came through the pipeline from Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs Jr. regarding an update on the damage assessed and the status of repair crews.

“97% damaged assessed

48 broken poles
90 spans of wire down
21 areas of trees down
9 damaged transformers
Areas being worked on:
Blossom Ln-2 broken poles and 7 spans of wire down.
HWY 27-1 broken pole, 1 span of wire down.
Tiffintown Road-1 broken pole and 2 spans of wire down.
Also working Watkins Road, Gibson Road, Hoxie Road, and Mosley Gap Road.

742 customers remaining to be restored in Warren County.”

Please heed any barricades in place. On Thursday a truck circumvented such a barricade and it resulted in Blossom Lane going down again for a second time. Please allow crews to repair the storm damage.
